Terms of use
These are the rules you agree to as a TAIGA user. Failure to comply with these rules will see your access suspended or permanently deactivated, at the full discretion of the TAIGA team. We are always looking to improve our policies so please Contact Us to share your feedback.
Do not, under any circumstances, share any data held within TAIGA with other people unless you have verified that they are a TAIGA user beforehand and can ensure you are not overheard or recorded sharing confidential information.
Respect the privacy of the information that an author has shared on TAIGA
Metadata - the ‘areas of expertise’ of an author, for example - is still confidential information
If in doubt, contact an author before sharing any information about them or their work outside of the TAIGA community
Treat articles shared on TAIGA as confidential.
We want members to feel comfortable sharing articles that might be less polished, more frank, and relying on more shared context.
The docs that people link to on TAIGA are only meant for people who received access to the website. Don’t share them with others.
Only share TAIGA, the URL, and our TAIGA email addresses with people who you believe would be admitted with our Access Policy, generally those who:
work professionally on AI governance issues related to existential risks and transformative AI, and
can be trusted with getting access to somewhat more sensitive and confidential information.
Do not share the TAIGA URL or email addresses of any of the TAIGA team in public spaces
Only request access to a doc if:
you’ve understood the access level that the author has given the doc,
there’s a good chance it’s relevant for you,
you explain to the author in your message why you’re interested, that you’re coming from TAIGA and, if you don’t know each other, who you are.
It’s somewhat costly for authors to process access requests and some information is helpful for processing it quicker.
If your document contains information you consider sensitive, don’t deactivate access control.
TAIGA members cleared some moderate bars for understanding the context of important discussions and being trustworthy, but we don’t recommend considering the bar sufficient for your specific case.
Don’t include information you consider sensitive in the TAIGA entries.
If you think an author would prefer to not be mentioned, don’t list them as an additional author.
If you think some information from the doc is sensitive, don’t include it in the summary or title.
Users should Contact Us or email team@taigarchive.com if they are not sure whether to mention the existence of TAIGA with a non-member.
